I’ve always been drawn to wonder. Fern covered forests, butterflies becoming, golden light, and the quiet magic tucked away in the world around us.
Fern Vera grew from that same sense of wonder.
My photography lives somewhere between what unfolds and what we dream up together. Some magic is stumbled upon. Some magic is made. I photograph both.
I’ll preserve what happens naturally, while also posing, guiding, and dreaming up a little magic with you.

How Fern Vera photography Was Born
Long before Fern Vera Photography existed, there was a camera and a dream.
Photography began as something I simply loved. For years, I carried the quiet dream of becoming a photographer, even when I wasn’t quite ready to call it anything more than a hobby.
The name Fern Vera found me somewhere along the way, but it would be years before I finally stepped into everything it could become.
Some dreams unfold all at once. Mine took time.
What began as a love for photography eventually became a home for documenting weddings, elopements, couples, and the transformations woven between them.
Today, as a Minneapolis wedding, elopement, and couples photographer, I get to live the dream I carried with me all those years.

A Look Into My World
One afternoon, wandering through the woods, I found myself photographing a fern.
When I got home to edit the photo, I washed the dirt from my hands and noticed the words on a soap bottle.
Aloe Vera.
Fern. Vera.
It felt less like naming a business and more like remembering something I'd known all along: a name rooted in nature, a name that felt like home.
And from that little moment, Fern Vera Photography began, eventually becoming a home for weddings, elopements, and couples throughout Minnesota.
The Moment Fern Vera Found Me
These days, I share life with my dog, Luna, my gentle little shadow.
Together, we spend our days wandering Minnesota, hiking, exploring, and finding little pockets of beauty along the way.
I’ve always felt most at home outdoors, and that love naturally finds its way into my photography. Whenever I can, I weave Minnesota’s beauty into my wedding, elopement, and couples photography.
Years of exploring Minnesota have led me to some pretty magical places, and I love helping couples find a setting that feels just as special as their story.
One of my favorite parts of it all is getting to wander Minnesota with Luna, discover new places, and capture love along the way.
