A monthly letter from a fairy with a camera.
Every month, a little envelope flutters its way from the ferns to your inbox, lovingly delivered by the Monarch Migration Postal Service.
Hidden deep within the ferns, nestled beneath patches of moss and tucked beneath weathered roots, is the tiniest little post office you've ever seen.
It's where monarchs gather to sort the mail before setting off on their migration, each one carrying a letter filled with stories, adventures, inspiration, and a little touch of fairy dust, all the way to your inbox.
Welcome to From the Ferns.
After every transformation, I find my way back to the ferns. I let the magic of the day soak in, revisiting everything that unfolded.
Memory has a way of softening the edges of even our most treasured days. So I return to each visual narrative with pencil in hand, giving words to the moments I was honored to witness before time gently reshapes them.
These letters are where those softened memories find a home.
Whether you're preparing for your own transformation, searching for inspiration, hoping to better understand my approach, or simply seeing the world through my eyes for a little while, I hope these letters leave you feeling more prepared, more connected, and a little more at home in the ferns.

Rishika and Jethro’s wedding was more than a beautiful celebration at Solar Arts Building in Minneapolis. It became the day that quietly changed the course of my life and marked the beginning of my journey as a wedding photographer.

Let’s talk about the story that’s unfolding for you.
Fern Vera Photography Hoodie
Every so often, a little something flutters into my shop. Right now, it’s the Fern Vera Photography hoodie — warm, soft, and sprinkled with a touch of fairy dust.
Some transformations are simply too magical to witness through one lens alone. If you’re a photographer interested in second shooting, I’d love to connect.
